I'm sorry let me be a little clearer about what I'm talking about. I use to wear skirts all the time and people use to come up to me and ask me why I wore skirts all the time. I said that was just my perference. They thought it was because I was "saved". I didn't understand what they meant.

Ok..I guess not one is reading my question completely. See I wear skirts because I want to. I do go to church, but I am not required by "LAW" to wear them. I was wondering why people were always asking me about being "saved" and "santified" and all that other stuff. No one has answer the question yet. If you really don't know just say you don't know. Some of you people act like I'm attacking your religion or something.

It depends on your faith in most case but wearing a skirt will not get you into heaven but God is looking at your heart and good works. Works alone will not get you into heaven. The britches was made for Arron because he had to have a special made outfit to wear into the temple. God did make it plain for a woman not to wear anything above her knees and not to wear anything pertaining to men's clothing. So a woman is forbidden of wearing men's clothing. God has his reasons for everything. We are just to follow up with understanding and without question. You can wear the longest skirt there is and look as holier then thou and your heart could be made of stone. God looks at the heart of man. He also told us to dress modest.

Baptist here, many many years ago women would never wear pants to church, that has changed over the past 40 years and now everyone just wears whatever they have, skirts, pants, whatever. God said come as you are, I think many people just want to run others lives and want to set rules that more than likely never mattered to God anyway. It's not just a Baptist thing many religions at one time had and still have very strict dress codes for their flocks, veils, hats, no makeup, etc. Things have changed over the years but many keep the old ways as a way of keeping control.

Because those women that have to wear skirt and dress are taught that are still under the law of Moses. Deuteronomy 22:5 The woman shall not wear that which pertained unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.Today we are under grace and are save by grace though faith. Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

I have often wondered that! the woman have to look like a complete fashion disaster but the men don't look any different, hardly seems fair, huh?
they say it's to keep men from lusting over them.. that would do it! lol! but it would seem that it would be more modest to wear pants (that don't fly up in the wind) than to have easier access in a dress. (if you know what I mean) LOL!
I didn't even know that God had a dress code! I do know that he says that men are to look like men and women look like women.. but do you know that the first dress was actually designed for a man??!!

the only instance in the Bible that I seen where people wore different apparel was the Pharisees and Jesus hated them! for calling attention to themselves.

P.S. I am VERY Baptist.. and we do NOT, nor have ever, thought a dress or skirt would get us anywhere, especially to heaven! LOL! I wear pants to church every Sunday!

Um...depends on the length of the skirt, I think. And anyway, aren't skirts IN right now? So what's the problem? Being up with the current fashion never said anything about a person's religious beliefs.

I never heard any such thing. Do the men wear skirts when they are saved? I've only seen a few men and skirts and I know it was not because they were saved.

I did not know that it was a requirement for a saved person to wear a skirt. You might want to check your source for more clarification.

Where did you get that from?
You seem to have misunderstood something.

It's not what you wear that gets you saved, it's only what you believe and who you trust.
Me personally, I think it's trusting Jesus and His death, burial, resurrection for my sins that saves me from Hell.

You 'can' were anything you want, it doesn't save you. You 'can' wear anything you want after you're saved, also. But most people saved from Hell by Jesus' (God's Son) sacrifice wear modest clothing as a way to thank God for His gift of eternal life (Heaven).
It's all about free will, you can wear a modest outfit out of love, or a skimpy outfit using His gracious liberty as an excuse. But seeing how Jesus suffered and suffers for all of our sins, take note that when a believer wears a skimpy outfit, even though you aren't punished for it, Jesus gets the shame and punishment for it. But He did it out of love for you, and if your saved, it is your liberty, but please don't abuse it. If you're not saved by trusting Jesus, you honestly don't have eternal life, and you'll go to Hell for your sins, But its about free will, and you can believe or not believe. I'd love to see ya in heaven, honestly. All this is in the Bible, and if you don't believe the Bible is 100% the Word of God, I hope that you take a leap of faith and believe it.

Saved from what? Are you referring to mini skirts or long skirts? Pleated or A line?? I really don't understand your 'question'.
