Holy spirit is mentioned in Quran and (i think) it is called holy spirit because the birth of Jesus was a miracle as it was not due to a relation of a man and woman. Because the birth of Jesus was due to this miracle so the spirit which was sent by God was called 'holy'.

we believe in Jesus as a human prophet and the holy spirit has been mentioned in the Quran.
the holy spirit called "Al-Ruh Al-Qudus" in the Quran.
andi believe the holy spirit is Angel Gabriel. God sent the holy spirit to Jesus to help him in his prophecy. because the children of Israel are too stubborn to believe.
