I have been with my boyfriend about a year and 6 months and over this time my jealousy towards other woman has increased. I never really was a person to be jealous and at times I even feel possessive. I do not want him to get tired of me because I am acting like some jealous freak. At times I am ridiculous because I feel he spends a lot of time on the computer. Would this be a reason to be jealous? I love him so much that sometimes I feel like he does not love me as much as I love him. I know that is stupid but what could I possibly do to STOP BEING SO INSAINELY JEALOUS???????????????????????????? Oh also we sometimes spend every single day with each other except when he is at work and I am at school.

Actually I do not talk to men and friends I previously talked to because he did not approve. He is very jealous himself do you think because he is so jealous this has rubbed off on me? I do not know if this could be a reason as well. Oh and also he has done things that have caused me to doubt him but I do not hold grudges I forgive and move on. Thanks for everyone who has taken the time to respond. So far I have really liked everyones response I wish I could choose more than one best answer.

I think jealousy is a form of insecurity. Do you not feel good about yourself? Does he give you reason to feel jealous? Does he pay more attention to other girls? You have to ask yourself these questions. If it is not him that is giving you reason to feel jealous then you know it is about you. Hey, we have ALL been through this insane emotion. Especially when you love someone so much. You don't want to lose him, that's the bottom line. I would say...just get really confident within yourself and don't let anything make you feel less then who you are....a beautiful, powerful, woman that deserves to be loved!

A small dose of jealousy is humanly normal. Often your level of jealousey can be based on your own personal insecurities.
He may not be what you want him to be and you are always yearning from what you want him to be. Expectations can lead to big time disappointmenst and personal hurt. True love is balanced. If you frantically need him and worry about other women, then there is something that triggers that feeling.
Remember what you see is what you get..in your miund you might think that he is your very life. Not good. He is part of your life. If you aren't getting what you need from him, you either need a good talk with him or you need to find a guy who fits what you need.

It sounds like you're insecure, and it's borderline sick. Has he ever cheated on you? If he has at least that's a reason for you to be suspicious or something...

If all he's doing is talking to girls, or being on the computer...you need to sit down for 5 minutes, think really hard, and realize that there's nothing to be jealous about. He's always going to talk to other women. It doesn't mean he's romantically interested in them, but are you going to stop talking to every other man in the world for the rest of your life?

You need to take like...100 deep breaths

You need to get over youself and stop being under confident. Gain some confidence because you are obviously lacking it.

Because you are insecure. Love yourself.
Feel not that you can direct the course of love, for love if it finds you worthy directs your course.
