why seven if seven is the perfect number

Have you ever heard of the Witching Hour? It's 12 Midnight, in mockery of 12 Noon when Jesus died. Revelations says that the New Heaven and New Earth will not have a son for God shall be the light. A reference of God as the Sun. Most pagan (Wiccan) rituals are done on the full moon, the opposite of the sun. So, why 7 demons/evil spirits. There are "seven" spirits of God or churches back in the beginning. I imagine's it's their way of mocking it. Why not 666? Well, if you read the full verse about the Devil's mark, 6 isn't his number. Man was created on the 6th day and the number 6 belongs to man. so 666 will say man, man, man. A way of saying his ultimate creation proclaiming themselves better then there creater, just like Lucifer did.

Umm the Bible does not say that. The story you refer to is the one where the man has a demon cast out, and his outer life cleaned up, but nothing to replace it on the inside. So seven demons, more wicked than the first, come and inhabit him. As far as numerology...don't put too much stock in that. The point here is that it is far worse to have a "false cleansing" of your life than if you had just been evil the whole time...Jesus was quite the teacher.

I think you just heard someone's interpretation of one of these scriptures.
Seven is just a number.
Once upon a time different numbers had difference significance, but God only knows what they all are.


Mark 16:9 "Now after he had risen early on the first day of the week, He first appeared to Mary Magdalene, from whom He had cast out seven demons." ...

Luke 8:2 "And also some women who had been healed of evil spirits and sicknesses: Mary who was called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out."

Luke 11:24-26 "When the unclean spirit goes out of a man, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, and not finding any, it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when it comes, it finds it swept and put in order. Then it goes and takes along seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they go in and live there; and the last state of that man becomes worse than at first."

Acts 19:13-16 "But also some of the Jewish exorcists, who went from place to place, attempted to name over those who had the evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, ‘I adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches.’ And seven sons of one Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this. 7 is not perfection...........it is earthly completion or totality.

possession by 7-demons speaks about 7 literal demons, and being completely possessed if you use symbol's.
