"And summer isn't a time. It's a place as well. Summer is a moving creature and likes to go south for the winter."
- Terry Pratchett, Feet of Clay

Also for the more romantic type quote:

"Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:" ~ William Shakespeare, The Sonnets, XVIII (18)

Summer Enchantment
"Sunbeams dance and play along the shore
Keeping us company as we begin to explore,
miles of shimmering sand and sparkling seas.

Rich valleys are filled with fruit of the vine
Summer season has offered her sign
As we rest in the cool shade of a tree.

Golden sun feels much warmer now
as we begin to blot the top of our brow
while listening to the sound of bees.

Bees dance among all the flowers
Before the sky opens for soothing showers
Summer rains arrive to quench and please.

Sweet visions within my mind now appear
As the blessings of summer quickly draw near. . .
A season of splendor, gazed upon with ease.

Enticing scents are discovered this season
That allows all life to rejoice with good reason
Endlessly captivated by her fragrant breeze."
-Julie Pisacane

There is something of a hammer
in the way my heart beats
when I see your eyes in the summer
I become the wilder of beasts

Hope it helps...I just invented it....
