Chicken Guienea appears to be from the vector mosquitoes.

Crocin(a natural carotenoid chemical compound that is found in the flowers crocus and gardenia) is what doctors in India are using to treat patients with Chicken Guinea.

Sodium Chloride(Sea Salt) is another recommended treatment.
I would insist that pateints drink 6-8 glasses of distilled water with a pinch of unrefined sea salt until all symptoms were gone.

If patients were seriously dehydrated, they could be given an IV.

I would also suggest St John's Wart for relief from symptoms

Mega Doses of Vitamin C. Take Vitamin C until Diahrea begins then back off until normal stools return.

If it was me who personally had this disease, I would also drink a
glass of apple juice with a drop of wild oregeno oil, a tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar, a dash of Cinnamon, Cayenne, & Turmeric mixed well three times a day.

If I could not handle the strong taste, I would crush a Vitamin C Tablet, add just the tiniest amount of Oregeno Oil(about the amount I could put on just the tip of a tooth pick), add a tiny bit of Turmeric(from the ginger family), and 1/4 teaspoon of raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar into a cup of Root Beer and take that three times a day.

I don't know if you believe in natural cures but the allopathic doctors don't have any good answers for Chicken Guinea but bed rest and Crocin. Crocin does look intereting A little apple cider vinegar is certainly better than useless anti-biotics and aspirin and I have had excellent results with all of the aforementioned treatments except Crocin. I know nothing about Crocin but it I would try it if I had Chicken Guinea.

As far as prevention goes, look at this study for catnip oil and rosemary.
