I live in a rural area, a dial up connection is all that is offered. Would it be worthwhile to buy an excellerater?

I know several ISP's offer this service free of charge... you might investigate one of those - people pc or earthlink I know do for sure, you might just ask your ISP if they do.

They work by only downloading about 25% of the pixels in the graphic images (hence "surf up to 4 times faster") but they still allow you to view the whole image if you so desire. I think it is a good option and know a few people who have it and like it.

I wouldn't spend a lot of money on it, it should be free.

Cheers!
