What does it mean by saying "burn a CD"? Does it mean to destroy a CD by fire? or whatever?

to "burn" a CD is to make a copy of or to put files on it. It done by laser light, hence the name burning and the light actually inscribes into the material of the CD.

I'm assuming you heard that recently. It's probably in response to Ann Coulter's book, some dem's want to burn it for mainly political reason's. Very hypocritical of Rep's to bash them about because only a few years ago they were all supporting the burning of the Dixie Chicks CD's after they said one sentence about George Bush..

Its where you put files on a cd with a computer.
In windows media player,you can burn many music files to a portable cd.

it means to record a copy of one CD onto another : ) sometimes , and most time it's illegal
