It would be interesting to know what city/state this particular School resides in. We need to get the ACLU after them...HAHA
Being a strong faith Christian, I don't think any religion should be taught at public schools. Parochial School yes, public schools..NO
When a Christian is baptized, (often at birth) The Child's parent make a vow with the Church, and God, and the congregation to teach their Children how to pray, to learn the 10 commandment, the apostles creed and teach them about the Bible. Christianity is to be taught at HOME first. then at Church.

Because the world is going to hell in a hand basket.
Who cares about Christianity anymore. It just exposes the truth and we are tired of the truth. We want to be fed lies, lies I tell you, feed us lies.
Remember the Matrix, the meat tasted like meat but it wasn't really there, it was in his mind only.
The YMCA celebrates other religious holidays besides Christian on Christian holidays. Does this mean we have to take the "C" out of YMCA and replace it with an "R" for "Religious"? YMRA, Aaak! It doesn't look right. Now we have to change the title of the song also. It's good to be at the Y M R A....how are we going to twist our bodies into the shape of an R?
Phew! That exhausted me. By the way, where are you located anyway man? Iran? I've never heard of kids dressing up as Muslims for school that weren't Muslims in the first place. Shucks! Kids can't even dress up for Halloween at school anymore.
But to answer your question: I don't have the slightest.
G'day mate,

I'll try not to avoid your question. I wasn't aware that public schools made it manditory to dress according to any religious code. The only code i know of is the dress code, which is moslty there to keep people dressed decently. Public schools can teach pretty much anything they want, but I cant see them favoring one religion over another in the classroom (except for the whole origin of life thing, but thats another post) IF, however, a public school you know of is forcing religious ways - any religious ways, on students, then I would take it up with the school board...or some other well connected individual or gorup of individuals.
I hope i was....not avoiding the issue. Good luck!

There is a very good possibility that while studying "CULTURE" students are taught about some ARABIAN customs.
I remember while studying Mexican culture we wore sombreros and made authentic Mexican dishes to eat. When we studied Ireland we experimented with some of the cultural differences there... when we studied... I think you get the idea.
I see absolutely nothing wrong with American children being taught about other cultures. Why do you? World history cannot be taught without mentioning Christianity... as much of the world events revolve around it
Teaching Christian doctrine or attempting to convert students to a teacher's version of Christianity should be a no-no. Religion should be taught in church and in the home. A government school should NEVER teach about spiritual matters.
I doubt the baptists would want a catholic person teaching that their version is the accurate one... I doubt that an Apostolic person would want a Baptist teaching that Baptist version is the correct one... etc. In other words, so that ALL people may spend their school years without being told that some other person's religion is the correct one, NONE of them can be taught.
Spiritual matters should be left to those who are most qualified to teach them... ministers and parents.
If you really believe your children should be taught Christianity in school, you should send them to a private, Christian school. There is no shortage of them.

Since when did public schools teach Muslim ways? I have never seen or heard of that at all. Where is this being done?
Yes, it is ironic that in the country founded on religious freedom (people escaping England) to practice Christianity has outlawed children from knowing what has made this country great?
Sad, very, very sad.

ive never heard of this
was this to teach christian kids how the muslims live or is it a requirement of the school .
what ever the case religion should be left to adults people who have a fully developed brain and have the thought power to decide for them selfs.
kids think that santa and the easter bunny are real becouse adults tell them that its true.
brainwashing a child by draging them to a church and filling there head full of religious crap should be outlawed.
that is the very reason we have so many on yahoo most would have been brainwashed from an early age .
let kids be kids they have the rest of there lives to decide what is real and what is fantasy.

When I went to jr. high they had a prayer meeting before class started. IT was Christian not muslim. Then they banned it after too many kids complain. It seemed unfair because it was before class and any kid's choice if they wanted to join in the group. I think religion should be allowed in school if its by choice not force. No one should be offended if its not forced upon them. Same with the Pledge of Allegiance. People these days are just so sensitive about anything religious and political.

It may be because Republicans and bible thumpers have caused so much hatred towards Muslims that schools are required to protect them by teaching that Islam isn't what Republicans and bible thumpers claim it is.
But, if you are looking for sympathy or support, you won't get it here. From my viewpoint Christianity should be considered a hate group and the practice of Christianity banned by law.

I’ve never heard of this issue before. You may want to give some background information, and then reissue the question.
However, religion should NEVER be taught in school because school is not the place for it. All prayer should be left out as well because that is not the place for it. School is a place to learn facts, not beliefs. Plain and simple.

I have never heard of this. No schools I ever went to made me dress muslim or learn muslim teachings. I don't know what school you are talking about or what country you live in. In America we have the separation of church and state laws so that would separate muslim churches as well. I don't know what country you are talking about. Elaborate a little please.
