I suggest waiting until the start of the school year to buy most things, because every teacher has different requirements. You should pick up a package of mechanical pencils, a box of cheap pens (like Bic), a few packages of lined paper and either a duotang or binder to get through the first few days of school. After that you can buy more duotangs or binders depending on what your teacher requests, and you can see which school supplies from this year can be recycled (things like scissors, staplers, glue bottles, etc will survive the summer). There is no point wasting money on things that your teacher will just say aren't acceptable.

Try going to your school districts main web page. Then look on that page for school supply lists. I wouldn't get to worried about it. Even if you end up going to school the first day without any of your supplies they will give you a list and time to get them. They aren't going to fail you or even give you a grade on when you have your school supplies. RELAX and enjoy your summer.
