I don't know how short your hair is, but if it is long enough to slick back you could get a hair piece for the back or you could just get a wig and not worry about your hair.

Hats were the fashion during the Renaissance...to really make a statement, get a wide brimmed hat and tie a long pastel colored scarf around it....you go girl.

use sponge rollers and make loose curls... or braid your hair and leave it over night take it down in the morning to create a natural wavy look
