Your criminal convictions are a matter of public record and usually can be obtained at your states bureau of criminal apprehension. There are also websites which provide an accurate accounting of criminal history. I've provided a link for one I have used in the past. Hope this helps you.

Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at FREEPEOPLESCAN.COM
Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.
You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.

You can get a computerized print-out of the FBI's rap sheet on you (NCIC) by getting a fingerprint card, going to your local police station, paying the fee for the agency to fingerprint you and mailing it in directly to the FBI. In about 2-4 weeks, you will get the results of your NCIC (rapsheet). For the address, go on FBI website. I haven't done it in a while, but I believe the address is in Virginia, perhaps Clarksburg?
As for other's obtaining criminal history on you, many courts now have their cases (charges and dispositions) on-line either for free or for a nominal fee. For example, if you are looking whether someone has had a case in federal court, there is a US party index (you can get website by googling: US & case & pacer).
If you are looking for a particular state, county or municipality's criminal records division, you can google the particular entity and see if they have on-line access to criminal records. Even if they don't they most likely have a procedure to request records that would involve you sending in a written request with a fee or for free.
And, of couse, you can go on-line and contract with a company like US Search, or others, that for fees ranging from $19.99 and up will perform various criminal history checks on other people for you.

Your convictions are a matter of public record. Anyone can get that information for the asking. Some jurisdictions do not release arrest records where the case did not go to trial or if a not guilty verdict was rendered and others do. You'd have to ask. An attorney could advise you.
