I'm in the same situation as you are. i had a upper denture put in last week and i cant close my lips without my chin looking wrinkled. and if i relax i look bucktoothed too. the first day was the worst but each day it gets a little better.
Ive had to go in every day for adjustments its been to painful to even bring up the issue about making it less bulky. I'm calling them tomorrow about that though he mentioned before that he was going to file down the front so it wasn't so full.
after the gums shrink some and all the necessary adjustments are made i don't think it will be anything like it is now. that's what I'm hoping for. don't worry about it, i think its normal.

I have experience in this field. It sounds as if you went to a same day service for your denture. If you signed a release form, confirming that you are satisfied when you received the denture, then there is little you can do other than complain. If they do not fix the situation, threaten to file a complaint with a local board of dentistry. It usually will work. I'm a dental technician, not a doctor. I'm the guy who makes the dental prosthetics, and some people are anatomically hard to make dentures for. Talk to the doctor who provided you with the denture. Good luck.

It is not normal...go back where you got them...you should look very similar to how you looked originally...however, if you had a severe under-bite before, the lab probably went ahead and pulled the teeth out some...

no that doesnt sound normal at all...you should go back to your doctor and let him/her know of the problem...they can resize your dentures for a much better and more comfortable fit without any cost to you or your insurance..

You need to call that person who made them for you right away. I hope you paid by credit card, don't pay for them until they are right.
