You've forgotten that God exists outside of Time. He never sees the "past" or the "future". . . all times are the present for Him. In a sense, He doesn't know what you're going to do until you actually do it, but He isn't looking into the future. . . He knows what you'll be doing next week because He's watching you do it right now. Satan is the same way. God created him with free will, but God didn't know what he would choose to do with that free will until he actually did it. There was no intrinsic necessity that Satan become evil- he could have chosen to remain in heaven as an angel, if he'd wanted to. Apparently God thought it was worth the risk, and He still seems to think so. Perfect love can never be wrong about the end to be attained, and perfect wisdom can never be wrong about the methods best suited to reach that end. God can do anything which is not intrinsically self-contradictory. . . . but it may well be that allowing some creatures to choose evil is a completely unavoidable price to pay if you're going to have creatures with the free will to choose good.

Well, I'm not real sure about this, but Satan was one of the first angels. Satan and some other angels having free will became defiant and wanted to take over the kingdom of heaven. There were fights and God prevailed and Satan and the other fallen angels were cast into hell. I think the Devil and helpers are walking the Earth right now. We all need to ask God for protection against them and their temptations.

God created the possibility of evil. Satan acted on that possibility. Without the possibility of evil, there cannot be good. God gave Satan the will to chose between good and evil.

The Bible lays down the principle that all of Jehovah God's works are perfect and that all of his intelligent creatures are endowed with free will. (Deuteronomy 30:19; 32:4; Joshua 24:15; 1 Kings 18:21) The spirit person who became Satan must, therefore, have been created perfect and must have deviated from the way of truth and righteousness by deliberate choice.—John 8:44; James 1:14, 15.

Satan was originally an ArchAngel more powerful than gabriel or michael, The bible doesn't speak to it but given the circumstances I would say that even angels have freedom of choice given that Satan Chose to defy God and a 1/3 of the angels Chose to follow him. One way that God shows love is through freedom choice, otherwise He would be a divine rapists.

In Judaism, Satan is a tool of God's and he does God's bidding.
God created us to have free will and to choose to do the right thing. But to have free choice also means that we need to be able to do evil. Thus, God created Satan, to lead you astray. It's your job to ignore Satan.

Satan is a political creation by early Christian leaders and missionaries to "demonize" the old gods of the people they were trying to convert.
If you look carefully at Jewish scripture, G-d has an Adversary, who is His Friend. G-d's Adversary is the Voice that questions the current status quo, whether the "snake" in the garden of Eden, or the one who talked G-d into tormenting Job to test his faith. G-d's Adversary generally is a herald of bad stuff coming for humans, but is NOT opposed to G-d's Will.

God didnt create satan we did, we need someone to blame.GOd is love. pure love perfect and beyond mans conceptions of good and evil. WHen we "sin" we are blocking the light and love of God. We make our own hell. God has nothing at all to do with it, exept to be there when we clean away the walls we build ourselves. Evil is false The kingdom of heaven is here we do not or choose not to see it.

It could be for the same reason He created us, knowing we would be corrupted by Satan. Free will, perhaps. Nobody knows the mind of God but He alone.
