yes just go to the American embassy in Mexico

If you became a resident of Mexico i don't know you would have to check their laws out. but i am pretty sure if you are an American the baby is American regardless of where it was born as long as you are still a US citizen

Why was your baby born in Mexico? AND -yes-she takes the citizenship of the parent or parents. I live in a military town.

If im not mistaken unless you are in the military it does not apply ot you since military bases are considered US soil? (not sure if Im correct or not). Go to the mexican embassy closes to you to petition your documentation. If you are the father or mother of this child who was born in mexico you can apply for citizenship that you are recognizing this shild as your....keep in mind the process will take approximatly 6 months and it will require a DNA test. My friend just went through this.

You have to register the birth at the American Embassy and they will issue you a birth certificate. But.. the child will also have to reside in the US for a certain amount of time in order to not have to file for citizenship as an adult.

If you are an American citizen she is automatically an American citizen. Register her birth at the nearest embassy.

yes, your baby can be born anywhere and still be an american. people in the military do this all the time.
