because you want to hear it and then when you do your not sure you are ready for it, and then you wonder if they mean it or they are just saying it because that is what they know you want to hear. it is a lot of emotions rolled into one.

Yeah, they do tend to do that.. I've noticed it too. They're insecure babies.. that's all there is to that! Seriously.. it could be they think it's too early (I tend to be more romantic than the men I am with... I actually think they're 'scared' of me.. lol.. ****, I don't care much tho.) Anyhow, they might think 'omg, what does she want/expect out of me now?' after that IluvU hits the fan. A real man doesn't freak...but, love takes time some man told me (not too long ago.) I rush headoverheels into it sometimes. I think men are more into doing the 'booty' thing and the women rush it with the IluvU words, as a rule... (and yeah, it's not the same for everybody... I know that.) I am sorry you must have been hurt by it tho.. (as indeed was I.) You'll find someone that says he loves you first sometime, honey.. i swear. Keep the faith.

Because Men sometimes cant tell at what level that "I love you" is. Some people say it all the time, others reserve it for that very special someone. We men just freak because we dont know exactly how we're spose to take it.

It's not always the guy that freaks out... If either partner "freaks out" when the other says, "I love you," there are plenty of reasons as to why they were scared. They're afraid of the commitment, they think that the relationship is moving too quickly, they're afraid of getting hurt if either one falls out of love, they're not in love with the other person, etc.

I think some guys are scared of commitment of any kind. Saying I love you is like the first step in telling them how strongly you feel about them. Sometimes it kind of scares them because they may not be feeling what you are feeling.
By the way, I think someone who is meant for you someday will not freak out, but will say it back one day.

Because some men have a commitment issue and when a women says I love you to them it's to much for them to take.

Actually when I first to my girlfriend that I loved her it took a little time for her to say that back to me because she wasn't sure I was being serious about it or not. Once she realized that I did mean it I started getting I love you sent my way.

Because they don't hear i love u, they hear let's get married or let's move in together and I want to have your baby.
Men are taught not to express their emotions so it's hard for them to understand when a women says i love you, their minds can't process the words which means they hear everything but what u have actually said.

If they freak out, then they dont feel the same way. And if they do feel the same way something has happened in the past to scare them when that happens.

We're hardwired with the need to breed. We're constantly going against our innate natures to appease women. We are usually forced by societies rules to commit to just one female. What a world ... we're all merely the savaged civilized.

You are saying it to boys it sounds like not men. boys are afraid you are ganna get all needy and shyt. men expect women to express their feelings. men aren't afraid of womens feelings. when you do that to boys , they think you are planning their future in your head and they have lost control. like how do I stop this shyt. she is making plans. men know a womans natural inclinations. they are nesting creatures. be careful what you are dealing with before you start throwing those words around.
