Let me correct you, gay people are not a sin, it is the homosexual act that is a sin.

There is NO ONE sitting in any church that is without sin. So therefore, if gay's should not be allowed in church, neither should anyone else for that matter!

The homosexual act is considered by the Bible to be an "abomination". It goes against God's intention for a man and woman in a sex act. But, heterosexual sin is mentioned many, many more times in the Bible. Look at how many men casually commit adultry.

So, yes, they should be allowed in church just like any other sinner. They, like other people in the church, need to refrain from their sin (repent) or they are not really considered believers if they wilfully continue to sin. For a gay person, this would mean they would have to be celebate, refraining from the homosexual act.

, i never personally spoke to God, but the days of fire and brimstone are over . They have been trying for the longest to make him a loving forgiving god. Now I know this is not going to be something every ones going to agree with but i firmly believe that God loves all, and he created all.right? These people, no, my friends who Ive been working in the NYC club scene 4 a long time have all told me the same thing, they knew at a very early age and r adamant about being born that way. I have no reason to disbelieve any of them. They are so loving caring friends and have told me a hundred times do u think i would choose to take the hard road voluntarily? That's just my personal experiences, as far as church i think universal church opens their arms to everyone, or the marble collegiate church is based on spirituality, not your religion. As far as sin goes, that's whats confession is for if your catholic, and you don't think mobsters, thieves, addicts don't go... Divorce is sin... that don't stop them. Anyone who wants to be there for the rite reasons, they would be lucky to have them.

Yes they should. Church is where sinners go. When you are in Church you are surrounded by sinners. That is why you are at Church, in fact.

Your sin is not less or greater than the sins of a homosexual. It is pompous and arrogant and worse, prideful. It is a sin to prohibit anyone from the community of the faithful.

I completely agree with you that homosexual practices are sinful. If sinners weren't allowed at church, no one would be in church. The purpose of church is to help sinners get better. I guess it's just that some people's sins are more visible than others.

Of course, gay should be allowed in church. God loves everyone - He may not love their lifestyle, but He loves them (despite what some idiots will say). Yes, I believe that homosexuality is a sin -- but we are all sinners. The church must learn somehow, someway to love the sinner but help them get rid of their sinful lifestyle.

Yes they should be since law breakers , murders , liars, cheaters and tax evaders are allowed in. Only sinners go to church= The truth is out and it along with prayer will set you free of your sins. At least until you sin again and have to go back to church for forgiveness.

I think they should definitely be allowed. It seems very un-Christian to not accept people for who they are and especially if they share the same strong faith. What if it turns out that the whole 'men laying down by men' is a misinterpretation of God's word and rejecting gays turns out to be the sin and one finds this comes up at their final judgment?

Of course they should be included in church! If they were not allowed to attend, how would they ever repent? They might get the idea that God didn't love them. We all sin and we all need to go to church, even the more obvious sins. "The church is not a country club for perfect saints, it is a hospital for sick sinners."

The problem arises when they insist that their behavior is not sin, and that they do not need to repent of anything. It is easy to feel self-conscious when the need to repent is brought up, but we all need to repent of things.

If they didn't allow sinners in church, it would be empty.

As long as you don't promote your sin you are just like everyone else. That what the gay lifestyle people don't understand. We sinners in general do not have web sites, magazines, newsletters, marches, and etc to promote our sins. We are not looking for special rights for our sins.

Um... Yeah. Why wouldn't they?

edit: Since it's a sin? Only by some people's interpretations.

If it's a sin to be gay, then why are people born that way?
