Ok . If we accept that prior to Jesus' arrival that there were lots of prophets. That there were a few afterwards also.
Who are todays prophets? The likes of Hinn and the TV evangelists.
Who? Because they claim to be acting on Gods behalf. With healings only seen on TV. Why is there always a monetary price to pay?

KT You are joking! Billy Graham personally doesn't ask for money neither does Hinn et al but take a look at what you need to buy to get your prayers answered.
They are taking you for a giant ride. They are all multi milionaires preying on the gullibility of humans.

Today's prophets are those who tell us the truth even when it doesn't sell or when we don't want to hear it.
That's what Jesus supposedly did. How his life was turned into religious marketing fodder is the truth of today's prophets, fighting 2000 years of deception and power mongering.

A Prophet is a messenger of God. He tells you what God says. God has not stopped talking, He is talking, that is why we will continue to have prophets. The Church is established on 4 ministries (Ephesians 4:11 - Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors & Teachers). This is in line with prophesy in Joel 2:28.

Well, I believe in prophets because my pastor is a prophet! You have to see it to believe...or at least that's how some of us is today, huh? Is that the kind of faith we have today? In my ministry we operate in the 5-fold ministry, and it's in full effect! There are still prophets today because god is still using people...he is still speaking and giving visions!! My prophet is a great man of god who works in god's will everyday all day! NO we do not have an arena as a church...i live in a little town with no more than 75 members in my church! Also, my pastor is not paid and works a daily job like all of us!

I completely agree with you that it would make sense for there to be prophets today, just like in Biblical times. However, the true prophets don't charge money. Gordon B. Hinckley is a prophet of God. He's also the president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In fact, our whole church has a lay clergy.

There are prophet, though not on the scale of before. Warnings of judgment is no longer needed. Because of the whole messiah thing.
Beware of T.V. "evangelist" most of them are just out for money. Not all, but test the fruits. I have my opinions on who are not sincere, but you know it is my opinion.

Sorry did not go to your website.

There are NO modern day prophets. Those who claim to be are just looking for money for their own glory.
The bible has been written, and it's precepts are all we need to know in this....the end of times as we know it.

Jesus was the last prophet. There would be no point in sending another one.

This I believe; http://homelessheart.com/testimony.htm
