First of all your dad shouldn't be putting you down. That just isn't right. Second why is he saying that? Is he the type of person that doesn't notice the things you do? If so then maybe you should point those things out. But there may be something that he is expecting and you just don't know about. Either way I would confront him and tell him that what he is saying to you is not right and then see what you can do to make things better. Have you tried talking to your mom? Maybe she sees things that you don't but can be on the same level as both of you. If neither of these are an option then I would look into getting some help by someone else. Maybe another parent or counselor. If you are not doing things around the house I can see why he would call you lazy..that can be fixed..but tregardless a child should never be considered "irritating" to a parent. I hope all works out for you. I will be thinking about you. Good luck.

Developmentally, your brain is still developing. In your late teens and early 20's the parts of your brain that produce quick emotional responses are pruned back, and the more pragmatic parts start taking over.
Some people develop a bit of depression during this time, as the shifting perceptions of the world cause confusion.
Know that it is almost certainly temporary. Do your best and be good to yourself, too.

Well then stop or talk to him and find out what you are doing wrong and try to fix it. Apologize and that's about all you can do!!
