thanks for the answers , FYI mexicans are half aztecs and half spaniards .

about the 14 admentment it was made to protect all the newborns not an especifical race otherwise the law would be racist . if the babies are responsible for the actions of their fathers then that would make u responsible for the actions of the puritans wouldn't it ?

Honestly, no. I feel that this happened so long ago that I had no control over it. I think it is just fine that so called "anchor babies" are allowed to be natural-born citizens.

Here is my opinion. I didn't steal and immigrate onto the land of others. I do not feel guilty about what others did before me. Those were their crimes and misdeeds, and if there is a God, then they are paying the penalty.
By anchor babies, you must be speaking of the babies born in the U.S. so that the mother can receive benifits paid for by people like me. I say send them home. They were only born here for one reason. It was free. I say go home little one, and take your prostitute mother with you. What they should do is tubal ligations when they are doing the delivery, that way they would only get a free ride one time.
Also, if you think I should be ashamed and feel guilty about what my predessors did, then should Mexicans feel the same way about this

My people were welcomed to this land and helped to build it. They came in compliance with all existing laws. Someone else may have done something to Native Americans, but we didn't. What we did do was help to build the economy and infrastructure that today people are trying to break into.

In addition, I pay taxes that subsidize education and other services for poorer people. I think this is fair as to those legally here, but it is stealing for those not legally here to come and take advantage of programs we subsidize for our own poor. Again, when my family came over, there were no such subsidized programs. We made our own way.

As to anchor babies, I think it is wrong to intentionally have a baby in a different country when those parents are illegally there, just to get a claim to funds paid for by others and intended for people legally there. That is 'gaming' our laws.

I think that at minimum immigration laws should refuse to give any family reunification benefit to anyone born here who did not have at least one unconditional permanent resident or citizen parent at the time of their birth.

No, I don't feel guilty about it. Does Mexico feel guitly about completely wiping out the people that were there when they were Spaniards and Portuguese? I think one of the people were the Aztechs, but I'd have to check.

Moot Point.

Anchor Babies - the 14th amendment was to legitimize slaves. No one in the mid 1800's had any concept of being colonized. My grandfather was born off the coast of Genoa Italy and he was an Italin citizen until he became legally an American citizen. He never stepped foot on Italian jurisdiction his entire life - what was the point of making him Italian because of that? No Italian blood ever ran through his veins.

When you abuse a system, the system corrects itself. Texas and California deliever 66% of all babies as anchor babies every day for no other reason that to abuse a system.

When no one needed a driver's license to drive, abusing that system corrected itself. When no one needed insurance, that system corrected itself. When you abuse a system for political gain, just as our leaders are held to that standard, so should illegal immigrants - even worse, colonizers.

we cant change yesterday ,but we can change today do you feel ashamed about so many mexicans stealing their way in here ? and are you ashamed nobody will stand and change mexico for the better ? and i think they should change the anchor baby law as it has been abused by so many its a shame but there are so many people doing it just stay somewhere instead of because they want a baby. i don't see how we cant toughen up. if the illegals hadn't abused so much of our laws, and kindness i doubt it would going this bad . and mexico is not a poor country but because of corruption they choose not help their own people everyone is saying ok keep being corrupt we will keep taking your unwanted so let me also ask you how would you feel if mexico was brought up on charges for doing this to their people and us ?

Native Americans? You must have your history confused. As my people were here first I feel qualified to answer. I can't change what happened hundreds of years ago but I can protect my interest in this land today. People that are here illegally or attempted to steal citizenship with anchor babies are illegal and should return to their country and follow the immigration laws of this country.

Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah. We purchased California from the Mexicans. We fought the American Indians, they lost, we got their land.

I have no guilt because I was still a distant sperm in someones nut sack, so I had nothing to do with slavery, the stealing of land, or the purchase of California.

If a person feels the need to feel repressed then that is that individules issue. If someone feels angry because there land was lost, then they should not have lost.

Boo Hoo dudes and dudetts, suck it up. This crap took place long before any of us was a stain on the sheet.

I worry about my present and my future and do not care about that part of life.

All that was done to the Indians were to provide them with law and order and try to civilize them. From their rates of crime to their alcoholic and barbaric ways seen today we have learned they cannot be civilized. I am proud of my White race and the civilization we have built.
"Anchor babies" should not be given citizenship. If some illegal alien has a brat why should the brat be considered a citizen when the mother is not and here in complete violation of our laws.
Does any hispanic nation grant citizenship to an "anchor baby"? Hell no.

No I feel no shame. It happened to people all the time in the past. I have no control over it. Not just the USA was formed by taking land forcefully, so why should I feel bad that this land was?

Anchor babies should be sent home with their parents.

Your question is confusng. What does stealing have to do with immagration? I respect Hispanic people. I want them to come legally. But many come illegally. I was once told that the police in Mexico are corrupt. I'm still in USA, because I don't have a passport and I can't afford to travel out of country, at this time.

I am not an immigrant. I am a descendant. Read a history book. Do you know where your from? Are you 100% sure. Are you ashamed of what your ancestors did? Why are you still there? Gimme a break.

Hmmmmm...I really had control over what my ancestors did hundreds of years ago.

I feel guilty or for nothing. Nor am I ashamed. I am a legal citizen.
