Depending on how old you are, you might want to get a job to show her you are willing and able to pay for a vet, pet food, products, litter, ect ect.
Being responsible is also being financial.

First of all, why did your OTHER cats get sent to Grandma? It's not fair to adopt a new baby, let it bond with you, and then send it away. Kitties get very attached to their humans, so they should always be approached in the same way as adopting a child. Once it's done -- it's for life. I think you should consider why for whatever reason the other kitties were sent away. Mom might have a reason.

Think of how your dog may react to the kitten. I know that mine would use the poor thing as a chew toy... If you can get your mom to pick up the kitten and pet it for a few minutes, maybe she'll get attached to it and change her mind. If not, she probably has a good reason for not wanting the kitten. I wish you luck:)

Your age will have a lot to do with this question. So many children LOVE pets, but don't truly realize the responsibility. If you don't care for it properly your mom will have to. That could be a big burden on her, especially if she is already working all day and has a lot of financial responsibility. If she is saying no, she probably has a good reason...just may not want to share it with you. Trust your mom.

You sound a little young. The way you switch back and forth on animals. If you get the kitten make sure it is dog compatible. My dog is afraid of cats. My other one likes to chase them, but then it treats it like a puppy. It cleans it and carrys it around.

First realise that for any animal vet costs could deffiantly go over 200. I know that from expierance. Show your mom that you are excited to take ccare of the cat, read up on them, and make sure your mom sees that. Tell your mom all of the responsabilities that you know of that would go along with taking care of your pet.
Also say please and put on a lil pouty face, and tell her that generally people with pets in general are more happy in life.

Tell her you wont be happy with out a kitten or cat, that you'll take care of it. That you'll train it to use a sand box, that it will keep the house mouse and rat free. It'd be a cheaper solution to mice and rats than buying packets of Kool Aid.

Show her you are responsible and can take good care of the kitten. Be nice to her and try to convince her on how much you like that kitten. Do all of your chores without her having to tell you.

Be nice to her..do things for her and tell her GOOD reasons why the kitten should stay. Say you'll take care of him and she'll never hear from the kitten.

It sounds like you are doing everything you can but you might make a promise to improve your grades or help with the dishes or do something nice for your mom.
I will pull for you to get your kitty.
