Arabic. The Arabs invaded Spain and lived there for 7 centuries. There are thousands of words that we use in Spanish that come from Arabic. For example, all the words that begin with Al. Almibar, alcázar, alhambra, alfombra, alcalde. . .Ojalá (I hope in Allah)

well Spain was never invaded by the Portuguese it was actually the other way around under Phillip II of Spain.
actually the only invasions that spain sustained were by:
The Phoenicians, the Carthaginians until the second Punic wars when Hannibal lost to the Roman General Scipio Africanus
the Romans until the 5th century
The Goths invaded spain in the 5th century and that branch became the Visigoths. the controlled the peninsula until the moors.
The moors -from the 8th century to 1492-
And believe it or not France under Louis XIV when he Married his son to the the Infanta (princess) of Spain and since Phillip the IVthe of spain didn't have an heir the bourbon became the royal family of spain(and they still are today).
===> so if i have to say what language influenced Spanish it will be Arabic, French and Latin. By the way, sapnish was one of the first language used politically in europe and it moved from vernacular to a Language after Cervantes wrote Don Quixote de la Mancha
===> dfhdfhdf s u said that Phillip the second married Mary Tudor. but the thing is Mary died soon after and the english resisted her because because of her link to the Spanish crown. and don't forget that at that time the english were anti-catholic and that happened with every monarch. phillip the second tried to make claim on england and we all know what happened to the spanish armada.
but in the case of Henry V, there was this humongous relations between the monarchs and don't tell me that doesn't have an influence on socio-economical state. this relation is similar to the Spanish Habsburgs and the Austrian Habsburgs.
and i'm sorry if that was misleading.

The fact that Philipp V was king of Spain didn't mean that the french invaded Spain, as the fact that Philip II of Spain married Mary Tudor of England didn't mean that the spaniards invaded England... you should know better.
The only time Spain was invaded by France, partially succesfully, was during the napoleonic wars, and for a short period of time and not completely.
The rest of the script is ok; Phoenecians (traders, basically), Greeks (traders, as well), Carthage (partially and for a short period of time), Romans, Goths (and several other germanic tribes), and muslims (arabs and moors). The Spanish language was somehow influenced by all those people (and by the basque language!!!), but basically is a latin-rooted language.

Spain was not invaded they did all the invading ,south and central America mostly6y and these countries still speak Spanish to day.
they tried to invade England and failed .
they invaded the 17 provinces of the Netherlands ,the result was the death of the golden Dutch Renaissance period ,a break with east Indian trade ,and a splitting of the 17 provinces ,creating Belgium .Luxembourg.and the Netherlands,
a lot of Spanish words were adopted in to the Dutch language as a result.
we got rid of them in the end by flooding the country and getting their legs wet.
the Spanish never invaded Portugal .that was invaded by the Moorish.
