I live in Korea and everybody here hate or fear foreigners. We are looked at as if we are animals. They talk about xenophobia (fear of foreigners) everyday in the papers. As if it is something to be proud of.

I thank you for trying to create awareness on such a sensitive subject. But in Korea, Americans, Canadians, South Africans and Australians all are treated like scum. We all have to stick together.

The ironic thing is exactly what you said...they call themselves Christians and treat people like that. I don't know where you are or who are or were xenophobic towards you, but I work for a Christian Elementary School in Korea and they treat me even worse than the non-christian school I was with earlier.

Hope you find some peace in your heart to forgive.

hello,

Exodus22:7- If a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant
(she must sleep with her master)
If the master does not want her he can give her to his sons.
22:11 Is saying that if the master does not give her food, raiment
and her duty of marriage then she is to be free to leave his house.
23:9 This is saying that we should not bother anyone belongings
and if we do we should pay double for what you take.

Leviticus19:34 This is saying that if someone on your land, come
to you for help. You should treat that person as if he was born into your family. The same way you do for yourself, you take care of that person the same way. You have need help one time or another and someone help you. God, will give back to you in some way.
Deuteronomy 10:19 Say's we should love one another because
at one time we were not saved. We need to show people God's
LOVE. Anyone will help someone they know but what about the person you don't know.

Exd 22:11 The neighbor must then take an oath of innocence in the presence of the Lord. The owner must accept the neighbor's word, and no payment will be required.

Exd 23:9 "Do not oppress the foreigners living among you. You know what it is like to be a foreigner. Remember your own experience in the land of Egypt.

Leviticus: 19:34 They should be treated like everyone else, and you must love them as you love yourself. Remember that you were once foreigners in the land of Egypt. I, the Lord, am your God.

Deuteronomy: 10:19 You, too, must show love to foreigners, for you yourselves were once foreigners in the land of Egypt.

Ok so what's your point? Sounds OK to me...

well for Exodus 22:11 i don't really know what you mean by tell me your opinion but i will say that it is resonable because i read some before it and after it and i am thinking that since you trusted that person with it then you shouldn't be mad at the person. and for 23:9 well i think that that is supposed to be saying something to the effect of, '' don't look down on people who don't belong to same place because you have been though that'' like, cuz we are "aliens" for this earth but i am not exactly sure. on Leviticus 19:34 is the same thing. but since we are all created equilly then we should love him. and bringing back something that you have heard all your life: love your nieghbor as yourself. i know i know. and for Deuteronomy 10:19 wow all these verses are like the same, but again yes love them. what are you trying to figure out? just to tell you i wouldn't be asking people what they think on this subject you never know what kind of answer they will give you, you can't really trust just anyone.

hadenough is right, you didn't read the whole book. Even Jesus called out the wrongdoers. They were to be kicked out of the congregation for the protection of the others.

Never were law breaker allowed to stay, not from the very beginning, even Cain was throw out of the mist of others. All are sinners but never was sin to be practice and continued. and never was it accepted. Too many pick out parts that support ideas without understanding. It was not written in parts, you do need to read the whole.

What do you mean considered Christians?!?! ok what are you talking about? the verses are all about loving a stranger and being a good neighbor......what do we have to say about that? Aparently you arent a Christian so I guess you wouldn't understand so why does it matter?.....all it means is that you should be nice to everyone and befriend them. Plus it would be different if they were immigrating legally....but they aren't....

Exodus 22:11 The alien resident who resides as an alien with YOU should become to YOU like a native of YOURS; and you must love him as yourself, for YOU became alien residents in the land of Egypt. I am Jehovah YOUR God.

This is simply saying No matter what nationality , Skin color ,
we should treat Alien residents (NOT OUT OF THIS WORLD ALIENS) As we would a family member.

Leviticus 19:34 The alien resident who resides as an alien with YOU should become to YOU like a native of YOURS; and you must love him as yourself, for YOU became alien residents in the land of Egypt. I am Jehovah YOUR God.

Same As Above .

.Deuteronomy 10:19  YOU too must love the alien resident, for You became alien residents in the land of Egypt.

Same as the previous two

I don't own a bible...guess I'm going to hell because I don't read the scriptures.

You'd probably get better ansers if you repost this in religion category...and not immigration. Or do those scriptures have to do with immigration?

Romans 13

1Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you. 4For he is God's servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God's servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience. 6This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, who give their full time to governing. 7Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.

Love the foreigners, that's fine, the ones that come here legally, but the foreigners are not to break the law, and when they come across illegally without asking they are breaking the law of the United States. Jesus said obey the law of he land. the illegal foreigners are not doing that,
