I just had a filling of four different cavities (all in the back with the molars on the surface, I often forget about brushing there). One of them recently came back, (lower right molar). It's vein shaped and brown colored along the top biting surface. It's deep compared with my other healthy teeth and it doesn't hurt, but i'm afraid it'll get worse. Do I have to get another filling? How can I prevent more cavities? My oral hygiene is ok, not great. About two brushes a day but I don't eat much sweets.

It can get worse if you don't see a dentist. Many foods have a high amount of sugar as well, so it really doesn't matter if you aren't eating sweets. Brushing and flossing daily is the best way to keep teeth healthy. Rinse with listerine and chew sugarless gum. Chewing sugarless gum is similar to continuous brushing.

You could be eatting sticky food that is very hard to even brush out. I found i went through a period where i got three cavities within a few years and it turned out i was eatting sticky food that gets stuck inbetween my teeth. I stopped eatting it and now for five years i haven't had any cavities.

if u brush regulary. and u still get cavitives u may have weak enamle. drink milk.... or start taking calcium tablets. ask ur dentist about ur saliva production. Saliva rinses ur mounth. it helps to prevent bacteria from sticking on ur teeth for extended periods. when u have a low saliva production the bacteria stick longer and start eating away at ur enamle. drink more water to balance lack of saliva.

Go to a dentist!!!!! You need to get a filling, before your cavity gets worse, which it will. Just brush and floss everyday.
