I cannot tell you a sure fire preservation process. However, I can say that I moved into a house that had been vacant for 7 years. Dude couldn’t deal with the death of his mother, and the house was just as she left it, including the twinkies in the cookie jar. I did not eat them, but they looked just exactly like fresh twinkies do. It is scary to think what might be in a food product that would preserve it for 7 years. We are putting that in our bodies? And this from about the least healthy person in the South!
