The shot hurts the worst really other than that you should be fine the key is the water. I would let my old dentist do my fillings with no novocaine (because I hate that you get all numb for a couple hours for a 10 minute procedure) as long as he kept the water on the tooth the entire time he was drilling I never felt a thing. Only if the decay went deep did we use novocaine. a little piece of advice I found that works to help the novocaine wear off is I try to keep my mouth moving for instance if the bottom of my mouth is where I rec'd the shot I would move my bottom jaw back and forth (bad for my TMJ but it helps) maybe open and close my mouth or if it was the top of my mouth that got the shot I would smile a lot and again maybe open and close my mouth I have massaged my lips at times and if my tounge gets numb from me jumping and making it shoot all over my mouth because the needle came out I'd just move it around my mouth. I know it sounds crazy but it seems to work. Sorry for the long drown out answer good luck and don't worry you'll be okay.

It depends. If it is a cavity found by your dentist or hygenist, there should be no pain after the novacaine shot.

If you have had a toothache that has come and gone and you have put off going to the dentist, 9 times out of 10, you have an infection built up and can lead to an abscessed tooth. Then you will discover why some people talk about going to the dentist as if it would be someone's worse nightmare.

Moral: Brush and floss after meals. Stay away from sugar and sugary drinks. Get 6-month checkups. Don't forget to take care of your gums as well.

just a little bit hurt for some seconds. well it's much better than you let your cavity become bigger and the pain will make you suffer.

no, but your whole face will be swollen and can't eat for eight hours, just drink liquids, and they will have these two big cotton swabs things, sticking out to prevent closing mouth completely
