I have been diagnosed with clinical depression and anxiety. Everything lately seems to be looking up I am having a lot more good days than bad but I am still having the nausea? I am working with a psychologist and we have decided to not use medication. If i have nausea for a day I tend to get really emotional and it kind of brings me down. When I am feeling sick I usually avoid food but I am working with a dietician to over come that. Does anyone know why my nausea is so persistant? I usually have it 4 out of the 7 days a week. Will it ever go away? And if I actually went out and hung out with friends would it take my mind off of feeling sick?? please help

I also just past my third week from coming off of natural products. One was called Blessed thistle and that was supposed to help stimulate my appetite and the other was relora which was for stress. I am not sure if that has anything to do with it though because my psychologist said that I would not get withdrawls or any bad effects when I stopped taking them.

I'm sure other people have already answered in the same way, but this sick feeling is probably due to stress. I have had the same problem on and off for the past three years: feeling sick, and even vomiting.

Also, Congratulations for not using medication! You must be an extremely strong person. As long as you can find other ways to deal with your anxiety, the nausea should not bother you.

wow and all they say is that its depression, and are you taking any medications becuse if you are then they can play a role in the light headedness as well. i mean any drug that is use to alter our normal body functions will be very funny so medications will have to be adjusted over time. if none of this is going on then maybe you need to be reevaluated, i had to get several opinions until i found out what my issue was and it involved more than just depression it involved my school work, job and social life extra stress that was KILLING ME and i didnt even know it affected my body and mind the way it did

The sickness is due to the anxiety, so hanging out with friends to take your mind off of what is making you anxious may help. I think in time, you and your therepist will be able to overcome that. Good Luck.

hullo
nausea can be a symptom of depression by its on,i think you should consider the alternative modality of management i.e;anti depressants to overcome the whole range of symptoms.
