Should one take flowers on a first date?

All guys should do this.
I agree that roses are a bit cliche so go with something a bit more original. NOT carnations.
If your girl is a romantic type you could pick wildflowers for her.

Sounds romantic. But, personally for myself if a guy brings me flowers on the first date. I would think he "knows what he's doing." If you know what I mean. But then again, I don't trust guys much to began with, some girls are like that too.

I used to love it when the guy would bring flowers, it's very sweet and shows that the guy was thinking of you and cares. I mean think about it would you buy flowers for a girl that you weren't that interested in. It makes the woman feel special.

Yes. Personally, I like roses, but those are so common these days, however incredibly beautiful. Orchids or tulips are always nice. They say that not only are they beautiful, but they are as rare as the woman one is courting.
