You dont need to zip each file. You just need to create ONE zip file and just drag and drop the files into the zip file that you just created.
You should use http://www.winzip.com
And yes, it does compress it A LOT...almost 80%.

Zip the folder, then the zip file will contain all the files in that folder. Depending on what type of files they are, it may not compress very much (meaning the file size won't decrease much), but at least you will have all the files in one single file.

Zip the folder and you zip everyting within it.
If you try to save a change to something after you have zipped it, you cannot do it. You must save it somewhere else, then drag it into the zipped folder.
Suggestion, practice with something not important.

winzip is gud, but there's a software called 'winRAR' which will compress more.
when you'll compress your folder, it will become a single file type thing whihc you use againg with the same software and it again becomes your original folder. simple

you can do either, but it's a step saver to just zip the whole folder at once.

if you have files like JPG's and MPEG's etc, it won't compress any. If you have Ascii text files then, yes you get the desired results.
