Which onw come first the Chicken or the egg?

A naked chicken and egg are laying in bed together. The egg is looking up, sort of embarrassed. The chicken is staring over at the egg, even glaring. A few moments pass, and the chicken finally blurts out, "Well I guess we now know the answer to THAT question!"

the egg came first and the study of evolution proves it. for example a dodo bird and a duck mated and the dodo layed an egg. the baby would be neither dodo or duck, but a weird offspring. lets say the baby is the chicken, so the egg clearly came first. I'm not saying that this is the exact way that the chicken was made but it is probably something along the lines of this.
another fact that backs this up is that baby's don't just pop out of nowhere. they have a mother and a father.

Science recently answered this question, actually: it was the egg.
"Put simply, the reason is down to the fact that genetic material does not change during an animal's life.
Therefore the first bird that evolved into what we would call a chicken, probably in prehistoric times, must have first existed as an embryo inside an egg."

well the chicken of course was from an egg and an egg was from a chicken, so when you do the math it equals 9 therefore the lizard came first had a chicken who layed on egg but nobody saw the little freak so he got away

Chicken. Because I heard in science news that at first it was a flying bird. then it evolved into a non flying bird. then the bird we see today as the chicken. it evolution in the making. Then the chicken lays the egg. so that explains it.

The chicken. Similarly, God created Adam and Eve (adults), not a children, first. Hence, following the same notion, the adult chicken came first.

good question but since eggs are laid from a chicken I'd say the chicken and they probley came from some alien but theres no real proof of aliens so thats one is a good question
