You will catch alot of grief over this, but to seriously lose weight fast you have to simply quit eating. Maybe one meal a day. No, you will not die. No, it isnt the healthiest way to lose weight. But why wait 3 months to lose 30 pounds when you can do it in 1? When you do have to eat, eat the minimal carbs. I drank basically coffee and water. Screw what others say. If you arent happy with the way you look, fix it. Your opinion is the only one that matters.

Jo - 30 lbs in a month is a BAD plan.
You may not be skinny - but you're not 'FAT'. You are a little over weight, though. Ask your mom about joining Weight Watchers or some plan like that. It's a pretty cool plan. You can eat ANYTHING. You just have to learn how much of it you get to eat.

A better plan might be trying to lose 30 lbs before Homecoming or Christmas! It's a realistic goal you actually have a chance of reaching, and you won't get discouraged when you've only lost 5 lbs in 2 weeks.

Hang in there! You can do it - just don't try to do it too fast - that's VERY unhealthy for you.

Hi, good for you for wanting to be healthy. I have also been trying to lose weight. I was in a size 12, and have just been eating healthier...cutting fat and carbs (but not elminating) and exercising for 40-60 mins 4-5 times a week. I've lost 8 lbs in two weeks. I'm sure everyone else will tell you its not healthy to lose 30 lbs in a month, they're right. If you lose weight that fast you will also get stretch marks and your skin will look loose, because it will not have a chance to "shrink" with the rest of your body. So, if you did lose the weight you would still have baggy skin and would not look good! Try to lose at a healthy rate, 1-4 (at most) lbs a week. Just try to cut calories and stay active, try getting a "workout friend." Someone to walk, bike, rollerblade, etc with a few times a week. I also suggest keeping a food journal, it holds yourself accountable and you can see what you're eating. Writing it down makes you realize and think about what you eat. Make sure you're getting your vitamins, esp. calcium. Good luck!

How to lose 30 pounds in a month? Cut off your arm.
Seriously, you should NOT lose 30 pounds. At 5'4", that would put you at an unhealthy weight. A healthy weight goal for 5'4" would be about 130 lbs. Also, you can't lose much more than 2 lbs of fat a week. Any more than that and you're just losing water weight.

I've misplaced 30 kilos in 30 days. I weighed 255, essentially the most I have ever weighed. I dropped like a pound an afternoon. I devour two times an afternoon, drank plenty of water, and exercised three Times an afternoon. It is viable! Also devour a banana for breakfast And a granola bar Best of success.

YOu don't want to lose weight that quickly it's dangerous. YOu should follow a healthy eating plan rather than go on a diet. Your body is still growing, and you could do yourself some damage, you need food to help you grow. Also when you lose weight that quickly, as soon as you go back to eating normally you will put it all back on and some more, as your body will panick and store more fat. I would say you are about right in how much you need to lose to be a healthy weight for your height, but it should be done sensibly. Go to your doctor, and ask them for a healthy eating plan and an exercise plan. You probably don't look as bad as you think. Do it sensibly, and don't obcess over it. Other people obviously like you for who you are, which is a good thing, they aren't bothered about your weight.

If you are doing it for your health there's no way you should be trying to lose that much that quickly. You'd probably have to almost stop eating all together and that is NOT GOOD for you. Your body will get weak, you could get really weak and sick and possibly develop an eating disorder. Don't get me wrong I wish you the best, I hope you can lose a few pounds if it will make you feel better about yourself but please do it safely.

If you eat sweets or drink sweet tea or sodas-stop. Just drink water.
My mom did this and lost 60 pounds 3 months. My brother and one of my friends cut out all sugar and lost a whole lotta weight.

You cannot lose 30 pounds in a month. Please don't try to, or you'll develop an illness. Even 10 pounds in a month is a lot. Do a little at a time, okay?
