From personal experience, I had a couple of breastfeeding books, but always ended up coming online when I had a problem to find the answer. The best site I've found is KellyMom.com Every time I've had a breastfeeding or nutrition question or issue they have had the answers. It's so much easier to do a keyword search on their site than to flip through hundreds of pages in a book searching for what you need.

If you still would like a hard book I recommend the library. Also worth checking out would be your local La Leche League. Perhaps they can donate or loan you a book?

I don't have a book but I have the #1 breast feeding organizations website. They have breastfeeding manuals that they sell and many other breastfeeding stuff, plus they have consultants they can hook you up with in Michigan. However, on their website are the most of the answers to questions you have. They are the La Leche League and have been assisting mothers for over 50 years. They are very current with their info!

set up an appointment with your local WIC office. Even if you don't qualify for WIC, they should have a breast feeding expert that will help you out. You may even be able to get a free pump.

I breastfed 4 children and this site was more informative than any other site or book out there that I used:
