Reasons: The Citadel is a private military College, so you are not obligated to the Government or any particular service branch
As a private College they stress academics too, and it is the finest business college in the country - Verified by awards and rating
They help you get all necessary grants and loans to attend
You are not dependent on a politician awarding you his only spot in admission
All US Academies are limited to one space given by your Senator or Congressman - Makes it tough to get in without a contribution to the right person
Therefore You are in control of your own destiny at all times
And they train equally or better than any US Academy

WEST POINT, because West Point turns out some mighty fine officers more than any other military college in the world.

depends what branch of the armed forces you want to join. West Point would be good for army, Annapolis for Navy, and somewhere in the Mid-West there's a good air force academy.

thats like saying what is the best college to go to. you cannot compare Annapolis and West Point, because i think that NOONE has ever gone to both....Annapolis is for navy and marines, West Point for Army, both are the absolute best for their respective branches, but comparing the two would be like comparing princton, harvard, yale, or oxford....you cant really do it
