You betcha! My kids loved it. And now they volunteer each year to help out. I never made it to VBS but I was a camp counselor at Conconully Camp (Near Omak, WA) for three years and I just loved it to pieces. Those were the days. Great kids too.

I would send my daughter to VBS but at her age she would have to find a babysitter for her baby. :-)
Yes I went as a child and so did my daughter. It was fun, interesting, educational. These days I would recommend parents know a little bit about what churches teach children given all the different things going on.
I mean - not every church has the morals realized in my day. It pays to know.., elsewise 8 year old Robert may come home dressed as Roberta an declare his sexual independence. VBS should be a fun experience and remain on Jesus and the Bible not a reformation of a child's mind to political or sexual agendas.

I used to send my children when they were younger. They loved it. I never went when I was a child, my parent's weren't Christians.
Now that my children are older, they all help me teach classes or work with the music.

No, I didn't and wouldn't send my kids to a bible school camp. I don't want them to become religious fanatics or start hating anything related with God.
I'd want my kids to have fun in summer vacation and enjoy their childhood to the fullest.

I went as a child and it was so fun, I never went to actuially hear about God, I went for the crafts!! I guess God was preparing me even as a Child. ( even though I rejected him for so long). Now that I'm a Christian, I'm so thankful that I participated in such wonderful things.
I might be volunteering this year in my Church.

No. My parents did'nt believe a child should be brain-washed. Bible schools do more harm than good.

No I haven't, nor would I. Unless of course that is what they wanted. It is important to give children choices sometimes, especially with things like religion. Kids that are forced to do things they don't want to rebel and we all know what hapens when they relaly get mad!
