If you died and God spoke with you just before the end, and explained to you that He is real, and He loves you and has been watching over you your whole life, and He was proud of you.

But what if He also told you that He doesn't ever interfere with his creations, answer prayers, or do miracles, and your life on earth is the only one you get. He explains to you that someday humans will figure out ways sceintifically to live forever, and asks you to take comfort in that knowlege.

How would you receive that? Would you be able to handle such information? Would it rock your world? Would you be angry, apprciative, etc...? Anyone is welcome to answer regardless of your beliefs.

If God, the one almighty, the creator of all things, is speaking right before the end of my life, and reassuring me that he does exist, than I would be so overwhelemed by that factor that the rest of the things he would tell me would just be accepted as the word of the one almighty.

There wouldn't be much I could do. Although since I was 5-6 years old I haven't believed in any form of an afterlife such as reincarnation, or a Heaven or Hell. I've believed that when we die, our bodies shut down, beginning with the brain and our organs cease function, meaning all thought process is destroyed.

I don't think it's theoretical to have eternal life, and I never have. I'd actually prefer having my entire existence and organ function to cease, rather then having an eternal life in a place I've never seen. Where as some people take comfort in believing they are going to be sent to Heaven, I take comfort in knowing my life has an end - a beginning and an end, and when that end comes, there isn't anything else to it.

I would be angry because I would know that I spent my entire life with this religeon and the belief of heaven/hell and God on this pedastal. I would have felt like I had wasted time thinking about all of it and for there to be no afterlife. I'm going to be frank, I'd be pissed. I would also want a second chance to live again and tell people about it so No more of there time was wasted.

Afterlife?
Exactly what do you mean?

Your soul exist after your body dies (where you in hell or heaven)

or

There's no hell nor heaven, Your soul goes into another body , to have a new life (birth of a newborn baby) called Reincarnation?

Nobody knows for sure what really happens after death!!!

But I do know we have a soul and whether there's a heaven and hell or what some call reincarnation, it is an afterlife so God would never tell me that it doesn't exist, he will be lying!!!

I don't think God is a lier!!!

Guess it wouldn't do me much good to be angry since I couldn't do anything about it. I really don't think there is an afterlife anyways. I believe that there is a reason I am here on this earth and that I won't leave until my job is done. Then I will move on to my next job.

I'm an atheist, so if God said anything to me, I would be so shocked I would die before regaining my senses.

This was the most hilarious question I've ever seen on Yahoo, I almost couldn't stop laughing long enough to answer it.

Whether you meant to be humorous or not, you succeeded.

Good job, great wit and intellect.

Immortality through science. That's one Helluva gift. Imagine: GOD creates this wonderful universe, he creates his wonderful children, he makes immortality possible and all we have to do to find it is to pick love over guns!!!!

That GOD guy is a class act, and so are you for asking such an intelligent question!!

If God were to appear and say these things I'd be more interested in hearing about alot of other things that have gone wrong in history that he could have dealt with, but didn't. That is why, in my opinion, he does not exist. A compassionate god would not allow homelessness, murder, natural disasters, starvation, disease... should I go on?

Why would I take comfort in knowledge that goes into play after my life? And if there is no "after life", why would this "god" be talking to me? What does he do, come to me on my deathbed to reveal all? According to Christian views, your soul stands before god. So... I'm back to the beginning of my question.

I'm going to die, you're going to die, so are our children and their children and when they do the only thing that will happen is that their bodies will rot in the cold ground.

i don't have to concern myself with it because He already has told me that He has gone to prepare me a place.

Jhn 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
Jhn 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if [it were] not [so], I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Jhn 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, [there] ye may be also.
