when my husband was only 5 years old. He is very interested in getting in touch with people his father served with to learn more about him. Is there any websites that could help with this?

Ther are a great many web sites for Viet. Vets. U should use caution as not all are lagit. You will need to know the persons former unit, where exactly they served and when they served. Once you have that info ( allmost always found an a vets DD214 ) , contact that particular branch of the service and find out if that unit still exists and if they have reunions.

If his Mom is still around, she might still have his papers.
Find his DD214 (discharge papers)... they'll have his unit(s) of record, dates, awards, etc., on it.
You can then take that info to the web and lookup the groups.
There's hundreds of them.
