While it is true a physician once tried to measure "the weight of a soul", it is an urban myth that he discovered anything. The body does not lose an unnaccountable ounce at death.

That is a popular folk myth popularized by the movie "21 grams"

Note: 21 grams is about 3/4 of an ounce.

It is just a one-time event...
The blood stops circulating all around your body, that keeps that effect of 1 ounce heavier when we are alive...
At the moment that the heart stops beating... Your blood get stock and approximately one ounce (nothing really) got lost...

Sorry, but a study done in 1907 has so many variables that I can't take it as truth. It would have to be a scale from present time that weighed a patient as they died.

Really? I didn't know that. How did they decide to measure that and why? I don't thaink that the soul weighs anything. it is an interesting question though. i will have to do some research on the subject. thanks for the subject matter.
