It was a baby tooth. His permanent tooth will soon grow in.
Just like people; they have 2 sets. My cats adult teeth came in before he lost his baby teeth. Ever see a cat with 8 fangs?
A vet will usually pull the if they see the need at the time they are neutered. Same thing happened with our chihuahua too. It cost like $2 (literally) per tooth to have them pulled.

kittens lose their teeth at 3-5 months of age like people when a new set are growing in. so don't worry, even if they lose an adult canine (fang) its not the end of the world. my old guy only has his top canines these days and he gets through life just fine.

If it is a kitten it will get another set. An older cat can lose teeth too but they do not grow back but are usually fine. Older cats usually need softer food for brittle teeth. Yours should be fine. Good luck.

naw, young kittens lose their teeth just like humans, if he is young as in not full grown yet, he is probably just getting his adult teeth in, and it will come back. If he is still young, but mostly grown, he may never get it back. My cat is 2 and is missing half of one canine, or fang tooth. He will never get it back.

it depends on how young he is. one of my cats had 2 Little teeth fall out when she was about 1 year old and the vet said they do lose baby teeth but she was a little old.. Well they never grew back (its been 8 months).. She still does fine tho and its only noticeable when you are looking for it. She still eats crunchy foods and is perfectly happy!

Depends on the age. Cats have "baby teeth" and "adult teeth" just like people. If it is a baby tooth, your cat's in luck. If not... too bad for your kitten!
