how do you stop a hair rinse from staining and ruining your clothes and bed linen?

This is my first hair rinse and it wont stop running and staining me or any of my fabrics. What must I do to stop my hair rinse from running?

shampoo it out and read the instructions again my wifes a beautician and says you missed a step or something good luck

Rinse your hair in VERY COLD water for
a while. It should help set the color. They
also have some new color seal shampoo.
I forget the company, but I just saw the commercial
this weekend. Garnier?

You have to dry your hair, the rinse will usually stop running when your hair is dry.
