After one person answers the question why do people keep answering it. I mean like 2 days will go past and people are still typing the same thing the very first person answered.

Depends on the question...if someone asks for opinion then people keep answering because their opinion is alittle different...but if its a question with a simple answer some do it for the points...or sometimes i've gone to answer a question where i was the first, but till i was done typing 4 other people had already answered lol.

Because people are expressing their opinions. Sometimes they happen to match what other people have said. They are still entitled to speak their minds!!!! And besides, if more than one person reflects the same opinion, the questioner might see a pattern that will help them. Besides, why is it a big deal? If it bothers you when you ask a question, just read a little each response and move on!

They want to earn more points. (ha ha)

Actually, just because one person has an answer to a question, it might be the wrong one or maybe just their opinion. If many people have the same answer, it might give the asker more of a sample to get the correct answer to their question (or a more popular one).

Because the Answer button is at the top of the page, ahead of all of the other answers. Scrolling through everyone else's responses seems kind of moot.

To get points, or in some cases they have something to add. I think it is pretty annoying to, although I suspect sometimes it is really the question asker's friend and they know they will get the 10 pts.

Because they (we) hope to get lucky and be selected the "best" answer... and just to see their answer, and feel smart.
