Wait...a widow's husband would be dead

Technically, she could have been a widow who got remarried, and then her new husband decided to call it quits. Maybe he couldn't handle the commitment. A lot of men can't, you know. In which case, the guy probably shouldn't remarry.
(I know, I know, the answer is he's dead, making her a widow, so he can't remarry. But I like my answer better...)
