Not so hard from High School as it is on active duty. I can only speak for the AirForce, but there are other types of scholarship programs, besides the standard ROTC scholarship, that send you to directly to college for a commission - some ROTC, some OTS, or direct comission if you're coming out to go to nursing school.

It sure is. You're competing with the other sailors at your command to get a RECCOMENDATION to get pushed up past the command level to get accepted. You have to be a **** hot sailor. If your in right now, keep yourself squared away, and go after it full bore. If you have a good set of officers and chiefs to back you up, you will be in good shape.

it is very challenging, however, nothing that is worth fighting for isn't right. Go for it and give 150%; even if you don't get it no one can see you didn't give it your all. Good Luck!
