I thought I read somewhere in the NT a passage like"Let him (who has ears to hear) or (eyes to see)"...and then referring back to the old testament in reference to a passage...something including the "desolation" of the ________. I hope you can understand. I'm looking for both passages and then the meaning implied (reason) for the mark of the beast being 666. TY

I would suggest going to "biblegateway.com", you can look up any passage, even with part of the sentence. I'm not sure if you're referring to the "abomination of desolation", but if you are, it's about the beast taking over the temple and forcing people to worship him. 666 is in Revelation, it refers to a mark on the hand or forehead, without which you can't buy or sell, so you basically starve. The ancient Hebrews had a system where the numbers correlated with letters, so it could be a name. What "666" actually will be is a mark showing loyalty to the beast. I'm guessing when his name is known, it will correlate to the Hebrew numerical system into 666.

Revelation 13:18
18Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Rev 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
Rev 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Rev 13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. Jules, Australia.

in the books of hebrew majik which were outlawed to christians the numerology of the jews held the power of the name to know the real name of some one or some thing was a way to curse or bless them and the three names of the person called the beast the one who brings forth the end is 6-6-6-so look up at the library numerology and see but in the roman way the numbersw are added to make one and then consulted for luck,

Man was made on the 6th day,and on the 7th he rested.
Although I've heard that the number is actually 616,which I don't believe. The bible says that who doesn't have the mark will not be
allowed to buy or sell.

All I can say is it's going to be very soon so be ready!!
