As a teenager its hard to tell the difference between lust(horny) and love. Ive been with my girlfriend for 11 months. Im 17 going to turn 18 shes 19. I know most young relationships dont last long but i really love my girlfriend. I have had sex with her but havent had any for about 6 months. Certain reasons. For me the sex really doesnt matter i could see myself with her for a long while.HOW LOND DOES LUST(INFATUATION) usually last in a relationship.

Till you move in together. that was the real test for me. I had the same question in mind with my boyfriend but, after we moved in together, yes the infatuation stopped but then the real love began. Four years later I love him more than i ever have. Good luck to ya. You sound smarter than most 17 year olds. you will figure it out.

Hard question. I have no idea. But the fact you have been with this one girl for this duration leads me to beleive its more than just lust. In my opinion, if it was simply lust, the relationship would have already dimenished.

The only answer I have for you is actually a question. Can you see yourself with her when she gets old and isn't as pretty, and willing to stick by her no matter what happens to her? If you can answer yes to these then it isn't infatuation.

it all depends on how close you two are. if you really like this girl, and she likes you a lot too, and you two have sex because it was an intimate moment, then it aint lust.
