depends on just what you are charged with but it can be up to 20 years or more!

My neighbor was arrested & charged with making criminal threats when he screamed that he was gonna kill his other neighbor after they had a throwing match with rocks, dirt & grass! He was being a wise-a*s to the cops, so they arrested him. After 2 nights in jail, he was released & given a court date to appear. Strange thing, he wasn't asked to go to regular court. He was asked to go to some sort of DA Community Court in Los Angeles. It turns out that he never got a fine or anything else! I guess it's different for everyone, depending on who you know & where you are!
