I always thought BRITISH ACCENTS WERE COOL. How do I get one besides going to England. Any webs or books that can help?

I love accents. I think accents are great. BUT, you can't turn yourself into someone you're not. How silly would that look... "I'm not British... but I have a fake British accent". That's not cool. Be yourself. So, you don't have a British accent. My advice... find a boy with a British accent. That would be the next best thing!

Watch Blackadder goes forth, a drama from the BBC and then copy Stephen Fry's character, for example;

"What ho, old chum! Them damnable Jerries have shot my helmet off again, by Jove! Pip, pip!"

Why a British accent? What's wrong with your own? If you really want a different accent you need to go live in that other place, voice actors can't teach you enough, just look at Keanu Reeves in Dracula...

whenever i watch harry potter (or even read the books!) i start thinking/talking with a british accent. "love, actually" is another really funny movie that takes place in england so you get the british accent.

Some of the best options would be to watch British movies, TV shows, OR listen to any audio books narrated in British accent. That way, you get to hear them first hand.

Toodle-oo! :)
