Buddhism was first introduced to Tibet in 173 CE during the reign of the 28th Yarlung king Lha Thothori Nyantsen, but had apparently no impact.
The first official historic introduction of a Buddhist scripture into Tibet happened during reign of King Hlato Ri Nyentsen (28th king of Tibet - around 500 CE), however, the book was not translated at the time.
King Song Tsen GampoThe 33rd King of Tibet, Song Tsen Gampo (born 617) had the book translated and married two Buddhist princesses. With this, one can say that Buddhism was first really introduced to Tibet as a practice.
*** if jesus was in tibet, as absurd as it sounds, he'll be studying the original 'bon' religion of tibet, and not buddhism ***

The other day, I was surfing the web (as I am wont to do sometimes in the evening) and came upon the web site below. It has many different pages concerning "lost" books and scrolls and discusses many ideas about old religions. I spent hours reading the translations, including the Book of Enoch, which I found very interesting. The link I've put here takes you to a section discussing Jesus' travels to India and Tibet and how while there, he became known as St. Issa. Very cool stuff, and well worth the time reading.
Have fun.

It is just modern story made by some folks who want to unified these two completly different religions. But there's no written account or evidence that Jesus travel to Tibet. Even someone wrote or found written that Jesus went there, Its still hard to accept, I think.
Because most of the principle and origins of these two religions are different in deep.
I think, we don't need to unified the religions, just have to enjoy the diversity.
And I'm a Buddhist.

There are many stories made by men, who claim all kinds of things. Could this be true? Sure I suppose so. The new testament does not tell us much about Jesus's life before He began gathering His apostles. We have a few stories, but there is allot of unaccounted for time. I doubt it though, as Jesus first preached to the Jews, so why go to Tibet?

Then be so kind as to answer me when I pose this question:"What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?"
2Corinthians6:15
Jesus did not make mention of any of the Psuedopigrapha texts that were circulating either.
He did say:"I tell you the truth,I am the gate for the sheep:all that have come before me are thieves and and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them."
John 10:7-9
It is nonsense to say that Jesus traveled to Tibet or anywhere else.

no this is a theory brought out of apocrapha or legends of the saints heres the deal your a carpenter you have a son hes 13 he goes to work in the shop and then he supports his family when he takes your place how can you work in galilee as a capenter and run off to tibet nah aint gonna happen he was a good son til he took up his calling and fasted and then went to preach peace however the crossroads of the world was the silk road and the spice trails and one point of trade was egypt and to get to egypt they walked or rode through galilee and so Jesus would know about the chinese or also the spice lands to the east the greeks earlier had maps of the coasts of india because of Alexanders wars to the ganges and his conquest of afghanistan so the ancient world wasnt a limited place as some tell the chinese left anchors in sanfransico bay so any one with a ship or ambition could walk or ride anuwhere its just that jesus would have taken several years to go to tibet

Jesus could have visited with any people anywhere. His father was God! I saw a documentary that suggested that Jesus actually studied Buddhism. I personally believe that the God of Christianity is the same God of most religions

There are legends of scrolls that document Jesus' stay among Buddhist monks. As far as I know, no westerner has ever seen them and documented them, but the legend says that the scrolls speak of a young Jew who stayed with them.
