keep the cats but keep them as indoor pets only-they have less of a chance of getting sick, lost, hurt or suffer a terrible death due to being outdoors.
i can't blame you though for wanting to keep them (especially a mamma and her babies)
good luck

Well they need the medications. Plus if u got rid of them u would need to give them to the pound or what ever they call it adn they would probley have a great family but if u can't afford to keep them then they will die a tragic death and I know u don't want that to happen. I have so many cats right now it's unbeleiveable. I have 3 inside cats and out side we have 1 momma and 4 new kittens plus other cats just come up and eat and they aren't even ours. Please let them have a great home with some one that can afforde to buy then nice things.

If the momma cat and the kittens are sick, then they do need medical care. If you cannot afford medical attention to sick animals, there are clinics that will help you get those felines back to good health!
If you cannot afford to take care of more kittens, please just have your momma cat spayed, and you won't have this issue anymore.
I understand what you are saying about people on here, and what they say in these answers. Some people are very judgemental, and that isn't right. Some of these people are so quick to talk down to others, and judge others, when "people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones"
Take care of those babies, and their momma. If you are able to feed them adequately, and they are not sick, then they should be just fine.
Consider having momma spayed.
Good luck to you, and those kitties!

Then go to a humane Society or talk to the vet about payment plans-if you love your cats you would a) spay the mom b) vaccinate(because I guarantee you the eye infections from an upper respiratory disease if not something like FELV(feline leukemia)c) find good homes for the kittens when they are old enough and do not indiscriminately breed more to make the pet overpopulation problem worse. True love is showing responsibility and you suffer yourself to put your animals first as a priority. Plus human meds are for humans and unless your a vet DO NOT put anything in their eyes unless you want to blind them.Good Luck!!!

I wouldn't want to get rid of my animals either, but you need to at least get your cats spayed/neutered and there first shots. After that there isn't much you have to do. Just think of the health of your kittens. Everytime you go out of your house, you bring in all types of germs etc and without certain shots animals are vulnerable and could possibly get sick. Usually vet clinics are cheaper than vet hospitals so you might want to look around and get estimates. If your cats are so important to you then you will find someway to get the money. Just sell stuff on ebay, or ask family members and friends for donations.

If you cant afford the cats vet bill how do you afford to feed them and such??? Call around a few vets and if you explain they are stray cats you just want to get them shots it might be cheaper than you think. Its only around $100 for me to get 3cats and my dog their annual shots. Some city/counties require your pets have annual rabies shots. Save your money!!! if you dont get those kittens fixed at 6 months old you are going to continue this ugly cycle and end up with a housefilled with cats. Cats are just like people- if you couldnt afford to get your child proper healthcare what would you do??? If you can afford a monthly internet bill why cant you afford shots for a cat? Get your priorities straight...

you should contact your local animal shelter and explain the situation your in and they will most likely help you,eye infections in kittens usually is but not always is a symptom of something else such as a respiratory infection and they need medicine, and even a simple eye infection also needs the proper medication before the poor kittens end up with worse problems than that. your going to have to find some way to get the kittens treated.if you really do love them you will do the right thing. good luck

You don't need to get rid of them even if you have little money. I lived in a tent for a month with 3 cats, 2 rats, a ferrett and a husband. You just need to be a responsible pet owner. A lot of places offer discount spay/neuter programs, talk to your local shelter.

There are places where you can get free check-ups for your pets. Check with the local Humane Society. Population control is also key in controlling homeless animals, I believe that the Humane Society could direct you to a vet that doesn't charge a dime for your pet to get neutered/spade.
If you really love your pets, take care of them. The Humane Society could help you for a free, or cheap vet check-ups.

I wouldn't be able to get rid of them-in fact I didn't. Well, my parents really. I was in my teens when we found a mama cat and her four kittens in our garage. The mama ran away but we kept three of the kittens. One went to my mom's friend. I'm 26 now and my mom and dad still have gwen-one of the kittens!
