My head gets itchy sometimes, especially when I'm at work and have to wear a hair net and visor. I don't really have much dandruff or dry scalp and I've had my husban, mother and father check to make sure I don't have lice or anything. Could It just be that my head gets kind of hot and sweaty under the hair net and visor that causes an itchy scalp or could it be something else?

lmao...I can't just quit my job because the hairnet makes my head itchy, and fyi, just because it didn't make your head itch doesn't mean it wont do it to anyone. And as for head lice, I'm sure if I had it my head would be itching all the time, not just when I have a visor on. Your funny!

It's definitely that you are getting hot and sweaty under the hair net and visor. I wear baseball caps sometimes, and I'm always noticing that they make my head itchy after a couple of hours. If it's possible, take them off during your breaks, and try to stand under a fan or vent for circulation.

Sweetie? I would probably say that you need to get out of the fast food industry because I wore a hair net for years while a cook at our local hospital, and it never itched. You sound like you have a sensitive scalp and need to exercise care in the way you pull your hair up. I know when I pull my hair up, (it's long) against the way it usually hangs, I cannot even touch my scalp for hours because it is very tender. You may just be using the wrong kind of shampoo too. If you don't have dandruff, I would check with your doctor because that can also be a sign of something much more serious. Hope this helps.

Make absolutely sure it isn't lice. Those little boogers are hard to see and getting them doesn't mean you are dirty6, it only means you were exposed to somebody who does have them. Hope this helps. No embarrassment intended. :)

It probably is because it is hot that you have an itchy head with your hair net. I know when I get out in the sun outdoors by head gets hot and sometimes it gets itchy being in the sun. May be Psoriasis. Check into that.

If your hair is long it will poke against you scalp and itch your head. I suggest putting extra conditioner on the ends of your hair. Also, try Garnier Fructis sleek and shine. This product comes in a short round green bottle that helps soften your hair and moisturize your scalp.

If you've had your family check it out, then probably you don't have any thing to worry about. It could be the hair net and visor and just getting hot. If you've change shampoos, that could make it itch

yah my head gets itchy if i'm sweating - like under constant heat. or maybe you have eczema or something....a dandruff shampoo would probably relieve the itch even if you don't have flakes

Eczema patients can avoid scratchy fibers for softer ones like bamboo, cotton, or silk, which are gentler on the skin. Opting to buy organic fibers can also be a wise, healthy, and eco-friendly alternative. Learn here https://tr.im/cmLPF

You could be sweating and the itch is from the sweat drying. There is no answer to fix this if you must wear the net except to cut your hair really short or make your boss turn the AC up.
