NEVER!!!! And i think the idiots that did that to our flag, should have had the SAME THING done to them!!!!!!!!!!! I don't care what country they're from!!
The flag is not just some piece of cloth!!!! It's the flag of our country! A lot of people have fought and died for what that flag represents!!! The ILLEGALS that flew the mexican flag during the marches, and the IDIOTS who flew our flag upside down under the mexican flag ,well it's a wonder sombody didn't get SHOT for that stunt!!!!!
And,IF i wanted to move to another country,i SURE AS HELL wouldn't be desecrating their flag!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would not DARE to march in their streets and DEMAND to be given "rights"!!!!!
And,if i was STUPID enough to do something that crazy, then i would NOT blame the citizens of that country for hating me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You state alot of issues, but they are not necessarily related or true.
I can tell you, though I don't have the details, that Irish Catholics in NYC, Cubans in Miami, and the Mormons have each tried to colonize for their home countries or religion outside of US soverenty and were not successful. The problem here is that Mexico has specific goals, the money, resources, legal expertise, and number to succeed where others have failed. The only two succesfull groups that I know of to do that have been Native Americans and the Amish - both at our insistence.
Let me answer if I can real quick:
flag burnings - civil war and mexican flags recently in front of their consulates and embassies
Marches - revolutionary war (we were criminals to King George III), sorry to many protests for drugs, the draft and all kinds of stuff
I would March if the cause affected me and felt I was right - example, gay rights/marriages (doesn't affect me though but has for others)
Other countries to support us - the French in the Revolutionary War, and after the war we demanded that England support us and they did with their trade - our tabbaco was our only crop and they were our only customers. Had they not supported us that way, America would have been bankrupt and failed. Now, the USA has paid for and supported many nations - most costs for both world wars were forgiven by us from them. The federal reserve is basically today owned by England and they support us by investing in our monetary system and get bazillions in interest payments for it that you and I never see.
Day of hurting other countries economy - ever time you hear someone say 'Buy American'.
Canada - uh, that's completely reversed. Most Canadiens live within 100 miles of our border - they get free medical, and they pay us to provide services so they come over here for it. This is the only reason why their health care system works. As far as not helping them, first, we are not part of their health care and don't get their benefits, and as for our government, hospitals are required by law to help anyone in an emergency situation to stablize them, something like The Emergency Medical Act.
Brazil - Why do we need to ask them for help, when we have the technology and resources to do this ourselves?
When did what become alright?
I don't sense you have your politics or history straight, and I am nowher near a historian or history teacher.

Never.......never......never
But we do have a guy in our town who put a toliet smack dab in the middle of his yard.....oh about a year ago....and every morning at 6am.....he sticks an American flag in it and salutes and walks back inside.
People were up in arms......they ran a story in the paper. When I read it....all I could think was "someone is going to desecrate this guy".
When he was interviewed he said "I will continue to do this EVERYDAY until our boys are brought home"....and he has. Oh and when he does ......people honk and wave and whistle.....every morning.
He was making his point.....as weird and awful as it may be.....he was making his point.
I don't agree with anyone burning a flag.....Jesus....that is horrendous. I don't even know if I agree with anyone DEMANDING anything from us. What I do agree with is a secure border.....amnesty for those who currently work, prosper and have made it important to learn english. We need to stop the flow.....but I will not let my bleeding heart think for a minute that we can line them all up and march them out.
Peace
You know what I forgot to add......its ILLEGAL immigration......not MEXICAN immigration. So if we were to "line them all up".....would there be turn stiles like at Disneyland.....One for Mexicans, Canadians, Cubans, Hondurans.....etc.
WOW........hatred takes on a whole new hue when it is closeted behind "just the illegals"
SEE BELOW:......How does everyone say that this about the ILLEGALS.......SEE BELOW

It is the unfortunate result of the perception (whether real or not) that the US has increasingly become fascist and imperialistic. It is unfortunate that the best diplomatic response to such "world sentiment" is the quiet and gradual acceptance of isolationism until the rest of the world is about to explode (ie WWI, WWII, Korea...) When that happens watch the rest of the world turn to the US for guidance... Why? Because, for ALL our faults, we will continue to believe in individualism and self-determination.
I just hope that if all this comes to pass that in the end Americans will be willing to accept the leadership role once again. It is a thankless position.

um, never... i live in ohio and i've never marched in a parade, i've never burned a flag except my own countrys, the proper way in girl scouts, (being sure to cut it properly before burning it, saying the correct prayers, and doing everything the right way) i've never demanded another country to support me (honestly i've never even been inside another country), and since i've never registered to vote, i dont consider to be even remotely related to the government (i'll never get called for jury duty, and i cannot support or be against any politicians since i cannot vote.) . all i do is i have to pay them like everyone else that lives here. so while i guess i do technically support them, i dont remember demanding brazil to help us get alternative oil myself... i never thought it was alright. i kind of isolated myself from the whole thing, since i dont know anyone else who isnt registered to vote other than my husband, i really dont see what i can do about it. what is your problem anyway?

It is sad the way this country which has given so much to so many, have to now look at morons parading on the street for rights they never had,it is sadder yet that we have a government that just stays in the sidelines and do nothing to stop this nonsense. Our biggest enemy is not Iraq,it's mexico and it's government.

No, I have not personally done these things. I am an American citizen, I pay taxes and I have better things to do and my own problems to be concerned with.
